If my paintings evoke a sense of peace or connection, chances are one of these special Central Coast locations helped inspire it.
Some of my most meaningful creative moments happen long before I ever pick up a paintbrush. Living and working along California's Central Coast provides endless opportunities to reconnect with nature, quiet reflection, and the beauty that ultimately finds its way into my artwork.
From the peaceful curves of the outdoor labyrinth at the Krotona Institute to the breathtaking vistas along Highway 150, these local landscapes continually remind me that creativity often begins with simply paying attention.
The Ojai Valley, surrounded by mountains and open space, has long been known as a place where people seek inspiration, reflection, and connection with the natural world.
Not 10 minutes from home, the garden and gazebos at The Sacred Space in Summerland offers another sanctuary for contemplation.
Just a mile from Sacred Space will find you on Padaro Beach and the Carpinteria Bluffs, where the rhythm of the waves, coastal light, and ever-changing skies create a living palette of colors and textures.
Further from home, the natural waters in Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs reframe what I thought "desert" looked like!
