Inspired by the shifting light and organic energy of California’s Central Coast, my textured abstract paintings are explorations of color, surface, and sensation rooted in the natural world.

 

Relocating from the lush tones of the Pacific Northwest to the sun-washed palette of Santa Barbara/Carpinteria has profoundly shaped my work.

 

A lifelong devotion to design and craft brings a sensibility to my interiors and art work.  This also informs my other creative outlets: an interior design business of over 30 years, an e-commerce vintage/modern site, Considered Shop, and a new needlepoint kit venture (launching TBD).

Additionally, I've begun teaching in Santa Barbara College's Interior Design Program (Kitchen & Bath Design, Historical Furniture and Business Practices for Designers).
